12 Rare Moments of Historical Figures Captured on Camera

Wyatt Earp

This incredible image from the early 1920’s Los Angeles captures the legendary Old West lawman, who famously took part in the gunfight at the O.K. Corral, well into his 70’s standing beside a 1926 Packard Model 326 Opera Coupe (not his but believed to be owned by a friend).

Earp had been invited by the Los Angeles Police Department in 1910 to carry out various tasks “outside the law” such as retrieving criminals from Mexico. He eventually became an unpaid film consultant for several silent cowboy movies before his death in on January 13, 1929, at the age of 80.
