12 Rare Moments of Historical Figures Captured on Camera

Clint Eastwood

The popularity of skateboarding had barely taken hold of America by 1965, however this picture shows Clint Eastwood, who just oozes cool anyway,  gliding down Via Veneto, one of the most famous, elegant and expensive streets of Rome.

Eastwood was photographed by Elio Sorci as he was in Rome filming A Fistful of Dollars, the first of the Dollars Trilogy films, three Spaghetti Westerns directed by Sergio Leone.

Those three films would help break Eastwood into mainstream cinema in Hollywood, instead of the 1965 National Skateboarding Championships, which were held in Anaheim, California at the time.
