A visit to the dentist’s office in 1892
Going to the dentist has never been a pleasant experience, but back in 1892, it was downright horrible. When the only ones that could treat a toothache were called barber-surgeons, a visit to these “professionals” usually ended up with people leaving worse than they got there. Add in the fact that anesthetic was a rare commodity and people’s teeth were yanked for no apparent reason, and you’ve got yourself a nightmarish experience. It should come as no surprise that “teeth” was one of the most common causes of death in those days.

If brains were for sale, the democrats would drive the price of them upward since they need them the most.
Dentistry has come a long way since creation.
